I have always had a love for installing tile floors. I’ve done it on the kitchen, dining room, laundry room…it was never really a problem for me until recently.
This is because the vapors that I like to install are so thick they can literally catch on fire. And in this case, I don’t even have to try. In fact, the vapors that I like to install are almost like a built in fire alarm. The problem is, the vapor barrier isn’t really made to do anything other than hold up the tiles. So I’ve been using a foam barrier to keep the vapors from entering the house.
Yeah, I can already hear people wondering why this hasn’t been done before…and I can’t help but wonder why people think it should be done before? I thought I had a decent vapour barrier in mind, but I can’t say that for sure. This might have been my biggest nightmare to date, so I’m glad to see people are starting to take strides to make this dream a reality.

The vapor carpet is a very versatile material, but does it have the power to stop a small fire? I know the vapor carpet can withstand a little heat, but the best thing about it is that it can withstand a fire. I know this because my basement flooring has a vapor barrier that has kept my basement fire from spreading. I actually started the fire with a lighter and a small brush, but the vapor carpet saved my house.
