Unless you have a great idea, you won’t be able to justify the cost of a paint job. After all, if you paint a house you will be putting up with it for 10 years, whereas if you paint a photograph, you’d be painting that for just a few hours.
Again, the point is that painting is one of those things that you can do for a lot less money than a remodel. It’s a great way to bring a little style to a house that is just a bit too plain. It’s a way to create a little visual interest in a room, and it’s easy to justify if you have a good idea about how you like the color to appear.

There is a reason why the roof is the first thing you think of when you think of having a painting done, and a reason why the roof is the first thing you think of when you think of painting your house. Our favorite is probably the roof, as it really is one of the most common things our clients get for free. But I can see why they might be hesitant to put it in the same room as the rest of the structure, as it feels like it could be a distraction.
Yeah, I can see that. But I think it’s important to know that if you are on a roof, you are likely to want a painting done. The reason being, roofing contractors have a lot to do with your roof and they are probably going to ask you to paint it soon after you get it. That’s a good thing, I mean, the roof is probably going to get done by the time you finish painting your house.
Roofs get painted because the roofing contractor(s) are the ones with the tools and the paint. Most of the roofing contractor will not be painting it yourself. I think most will be doing the painting part of the job and they are going to want it to be done quickly. And because most of the contractor will be painting it themselves, if you are going to have a painting, you might as well do it yourself.
