Do you remember when you first started out in the home improvement business? You can’t remember, but I’ll bet you do. I used to be so busy making sure that my clients were taken care of and that their homes were up to code that it was hard to get much done.
While you can always get your hands dirty and get the most out of the tools at your disposal, sometimes it’s nice to be able to take the time to look at your home from a distance and appreciate it from a new angle. That’s exactly what mobile home remodeling Richmond VA does for over 100 clients every year. They take pictures of their homes and then make recommendations to other local contractors on what they think will make the most sense from their vantage point.
The picture in this photo shows the house being stripped clean. Here’s some of what they’ve done with the space so far.
They started out by removing the exterior walls and gutting the roof. They also re-sanded the yard and the driveway. Then they removed the foundation, poured concrete for a parking garage and paved the driveway. They even finished the roof and the front of the house and repainted the exterior. They also installed vinyl siding and new windows.
It’s pretty clear that the interior is going to be a little different than the exterior. The house is already a bit “rustic” with the wood floors, exposed brick walls, and exposed steel studs. The kitchen is an open floor plan with a big island and countertops. The bathrooms are large with tile, wood floors, and new fixtures. And the front door opens into a huge deck that overlooks the backyard.
The new interior design is a mixture of two different styles. There is a large circular plan with a lot of windows and the front door. The back entrance has a round window that leads into the master bedroom. There is also a round window that leads into the second bedroom. That bedroom is big with a walk in closet and a full size bed. And there is a large round window in the kitchen area that leads out to the backyard.
The new look for the master bedroom can be described as “hanging curtains with glass slat doors.” The master bedroom is not only large, but it has a large closet with a sliding door that leads to the deck. The master bedroom is not only an open space, but it has a lot of windows and two windows that lead to the deck. A large round window leads out to the front deck. The master bedroom also has a round window that leads into the backyard.
A few years ago I did a remodel of my kitchen, and I was surprised at how much it changed the way I see my kitchen. The big change was that I was able to install a full-size electric range and stove. I don’t know if you’ve noticed this, but the kitchen is now a much more open space.
I hope you are getting the idea that I want you to consider what you can do with your current space. You will want to make some changes to your home. You might want to redecorate your bedroom. You might want to start a little remodel of your kitchen. Some of the windows in your kitchen may need to be replaced. One windows in your kitchen may be too small.
The easiest thing to do, however, is to get rid of anything that doesn’t fit. That doesn’t mean ripping up the carpet, but removing a few items that are really unnecessary. The best choice may be to replace the dryer vent with a new one that’s better suited for your particular duct system.
