Honeywell is one of those companies that has a wide range of products to choose from. Their products can include heating, air, water, and security systems. In the late 90s, Honeywell made a major change in the way they dealt with their customers. They began to advertise that they would not be selling products to the public anymore because they were afraid of liability issues.
The problem was that they had created a product that was essentially a product that a consumer didn’t want to buy. It was a product that was meant to be a one-time purchase. Because Honeywell used it for so long, they could not properly determine if this product was a good idea or not. Honeywells problems are compounded by the fact that it has no “manageable” temperature setting. In general, thermostats have a range of 20~40 degrees, and this Honeywell doesnt have one. It will set the temperature to the temperature you set it to, but not from the temperature that it is. This could be a deal-breaker for our new home.
