The problem with Home Depot is that it’s a massive chain of discount stores that sell everything from detergent to tires. There is no way in heck that they would use their filters at home. This is because the filters would have to be on the filter themselves. They would be able to see it on the screen, but they would never be able to touch it and change it.
The problem is that Home Depot filters are usually not made by a single company. So if a single company wanted to make a filter that could be used at home, they would have to make their filters by hand. The resulting filter would be a huge job of work. This is even more of a problem when you consider that filters are usually available in a small number of colors.

I think it’s a pretty big problem, but if you’re going to have Home Depot filters, you might as well make them so they’re not so hard to find. I bet there are plenty of people out there making filters for this very reason.
The filter in this case would be a “color switcher,” similar to the one at Walmart. This would let you assign colors to various parts of your house. So instead of making a filter for each room, you’d just make one for the whole house.
