The biggest mistake I’ve made when it comes to the home building process, is not understanding what to expect. I’ve heard a lot of people say “I’ll get it in two weeks”, but that’s often not the case. The fact is, most people take two or three weeks to get the home they want.
This is because the majority of home builders take forever to get where they want to be. Ive heard it said that you shouldnt expect to get anything done in three weeks. For the most part, this is true. But there are a few situations that are better than others.
I think some of the biggest factors in this are the lack of proper communication, and the fact that most are just trying to get a home. There are a lot of people who aren’t really sure what they want because they never have gotten to the point where they can ask the pros for help. I know this because after my husband and I bought our first house, it was more of a learning process than a decision.
I think the biggest issue is the lack of proper communication. I don’t know why, but I think most people want someone to tell them what they need to do. Instead, they just do it themselves. For example, a builder might tell us to put a roof on the garage, then he doesn’t get back to us until the day it’s done.
The problem is this. Most builders dont want to do their work right either. They may do their best to be as professional as they can, but they dont want you to notice. This leads to a situation where they get a job done when they should have done it better. The result is that builders can’t get the job done right and are left to do it themselves.
This is where the “home builders pro” moniker comes from. You might think that its because they’re going to do it themselves, but thats not the reality. A lot of people take jobs at builders that they’re not very competent at. So when we asked builders about this, they all said they’ve used this line before, and they’ve done it so often that it became just a label for them.
And what they did in the past was to ask someone else to do the work instead of them. They did it because they felt the work was easy and they didnt really understand what they were doing. A lot of them would even do it themselves, but that just didnt work.
This is because they got into this trap of feeling that they had to prove themselves and show how good they were, but they didnt really understand how they were doing it. When they asked someone else to do the work, they didnt understand why they didnt get the same results unless they took their time and did the work right. But if you dont know what you are doing, then you will get the same results no matter how much time or effort you put in.
