This week I’ve decided to give a go at growing home star seeds. I have a few friends who have already started doing this, so I’m sharing my progress. I have my first “seeds” ready to plant, but I’m having a bit of a struggle getting them to sprout. I hope to be able to get some great photos of the results soon.
The problem is that your home’s star seeds wont get established if you plant them outside in the sun. You need to plant them in a greenhouse, which I recommend using a mix of soil and manure. Make sure that the soil is well-drained and the manure is rich in nitrogen. This is because if you try to plant seed outside in the soil they will not grow.
If you don’t have a greenhouse, you can try planting your seeds in a small container of soil. Make sure the soil is very moist and that the soil is evenly distributed. The soil needs to be thoroughly mixed. Then plant the seeds in the soil, using a little of the remaining soil as a “mulch”. The soil mixture should be at least one-and-a-half inches deep.
This is the most important part. If the soil mixture is too thick then the resulting plant will be too large for it to fit in the pot. You can either plant your seeds directly into the pot or use a small container and just put the pot in the ground.
The most important step is to ensure the soil is well mixed before you plant the seeds. If you don’t, the seeds will not germinate and you’ll never know which ones will grow and which ones won’t. You will also have to water the soil mixture several times a week. You’ll note these are not mentioned in the official trailer, but it is implicit in the game that you will have to water it at least once each week.

And you know what? We have found that if they do this, they really do grow. Weve been watching a couple of our friends grow their new home and theyve been doing just fine. I have no idea what the cause of this is, but it seems like theyve found a cure for this particular plant.
