Unfortunately, it’s just not worth it to go to the Riverwoods Park. They are not worth the $100 it goes for. You can even make do with a 50-gallon barrel, which is actually quite common. The rest of the pool-building road is just really dirty. I don’t know if it’s the same river that I used to fish in, but I remember it being pretty bad.
The Riverwoods Park is a nice pool to go to if you enjoy fishing but don’t want to go to the actual river. You can walk a little bit further and find a pool with more water for less money. But as you can see, even a small pool can be quite a problem for watercraft. The Riverwoods Park pools are in the city of La Grange.

If you are looking for a more secluded spot, Riverwoods Parks is located in the town of La Grange. If you are on the west side of the river, the pools are on the other side of the river. With the river running more or less parallel to the land, the pools are not very convenient to walk to. But if you do go there, you won’t be disappointed.
The pools in Riverwoods Parks are the most expensive in the state. While being quite large, the design is just right and they are very secluded. The downside is that they are not the best quality, but it’s not worth $4 per day to be out in the heat.
We have not been to La Grange in years so we cannot confirm the quality of the pools. But we do know they are the most expensive pool we have found anywhere, so we do think they are worth it.
And, if you go to La Grange, you’ll see that the pools are actually made out of concrete. The best ones in the state are made of fiberglass.
