DreamWorx is basically a big, weird, dream-sharing forum. In the past, I’ve written about how I felt like the dream-sharing community was dying, and I was the only one left. I think a lot of people still feel that way, but I think we’re seeing a huge resurgence of the dream-sharing community because of the rise of platforms like Instagram, Pinterest, Vine, and Snapchat.
For the past year, Ive been involved with the dream-sharing community the DreamWorx community. Ive helped build the DreamWorx platform, and a few of us are starting up DreamWorx.com. DreamWorx is a site where you can share your dreams, thoughts, and ideas. The site allows you to share all kinds of things, so you can share your dreams about sports, music, or anything else you want.
The site is a little strange in that it allows you to choose whether you want to share your dreams or not. You choose whether you want to post your dreams on the site, or leave them in private. Then you can choose whether you want to share them on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. But there is a catch: you can only share your dreams with people you’re closest to. It’s sort of like a photo sharing site.
The site is simple enough that you can find someone that you know will understand your dream and then follow them. It would be great if you could share your dreams, but since you can only share them with people you are closest to, it’s probably not going to be a big deal.
Dreamworx is still new but has already been downloaded 1.2 million times, and has a nice design. Its a bit reminiscent of Pinterest, but with somewhat more polished features and more of a social feeling.
In this day and age when everyone is out and about on the Internet, it’s nice to be able to share your dreams with people that you can see. But if you’re just sharing your dreams with people you don’t know then its too easy to share them with no one.
I guess this is a good time to say that I think Dreamworx is a great idea. And I love the fact that you can share your dreams with people you dont know. But it does seem that there are some people that would like to share their dreams with everyone. So I can see where that might be a problem. But I do think that the concept of sharing your dreams within a social network like Pinterest is a great idea.
