The electrical wires were recently run under our home. The cost was not a lot, but the idea of putting them in there was. I’m not a big fan of putting a wire under a house (although some do it anyway) but I was definitely curious about the potential risk of putting that much power under a home. It all changed yesterday, when I got a call from the electrician and was told there was no problem.
We should totally do that. It’s one of those things we should only do if it’s absolutely necessary.
The electrical wires on our property are in a garage. It takes about 30 minutes to run wires every year. I was told that it was a quick and easy job, but we didn’t know that. I think our electrical bill is going to be a little higher this year than last year.
If you don’t have a garage, how do you get the wires under there? If your home has a garage, you can just put the wires in the floor, but the wires are pretty easy to get out of there. If you have a mobile home, why not just put wires under the walls? It’ll be easier to run the wires through the walls than across the garage floor.
Our recommendation is to run the wiring underneath a mobile home because it is the easier option, but the fact is that you dont have to worry about your home getting invaded. As with most things, you can always come back and get it if you need it.
In this case, the mobile home is not being invaded, but that doesnt mean there are not other dangers. In some cases, wiring can be a fire hazard depending on the insulation and the thickness of the wire. If you have a garage and a garage door you should take a few extra precautions.
If you have a garage, then you should probably have a garage door installed on it too. A garage door is one of those things that you should always run wiring under, but you can also get an electrical extension cord that is insulated with duct tape or anything like that. You will need to make sure you know what you are doing and have the tools, but it can be done.
The other thing you should look for is insulation, or better yet, a rubber-like thing underneath the wire that will give it some extra protection. Also, make sure you have a good ground, or at least a ground clip.
Like I said before, insulation is the first thing most people notice about a wire, so make sure you have that covered. Ground is a little trickier to find. There are a variety of ways to get ground, but a good ground will be the metal or metal-like thing you see under the wire. It should be as solid as possible.
In general, you want to make sure that anything that might touch the ground will have a good (or good-looking) ground. This might sound silly, but you don’t want your electric to jump from your socket to your clothes dryer. Ground is even more important in an RV because you want anything that touches the ground to be electrically isolated from anything else in or outside the home.
