In early July, a family I worked with and met at our church gathered together to celebrate their son’s life and to remember his death. As we were getting ready to leave, a friend said something to me that stuck out in my mind: “I’m not going to be here for the funeral.” We had a great time reminiscing about that day and, as usual, talking about how we’d talk to each other again.
I was just trying to get a few words on the tip of my tongue to say to the family that day, when I noticed they were already talking about something else. A few moments later, I overheard them talking about the funeral home that was going to be doing the service. The man who was supposed to be in charge of the funeral told me that he had no idea what the name of the funeral home was going to be.
The funeral home that we see in the trailer isn’t from the same funeral home that the family was speaking to. It seems to be a different franchise, and it’s not a funeral home from the funeral home that we see in the trailer.
You know what it is though. The funeral home that was speaking to the family wasnt from the funeral home that we saw in the trailer.
It is probably safe to say that at least two members of the family were not going to be at the service. They would have been at the funeral. However, it is likely that the funeral home that we saw in the trailer was not the same funeral home that the family was talking to. I would expect that there might be a reason why the family did not attend the funeral, but I don’t know the name of the funeral home.
Since we don’t know why the family did not attend the funeral, a lot of unanswered questions remain about the service. In particular, the use of the word “family” in the first sentence of the video really bothered me.
The funeral that the family attended had a lot of pomp and circumstance. But, as you can see from the footage, it was extremely chaotic. The families and the mourners got in a rush and then got a little lost. The funeral director wasn’t very clear on what the service should be about and the mourners were very loud, which is probably why the video is so awful.
There is a certain amount of wailing and gnashing of teeth that accompanies the death of a loved one. It’s not uncommon to see that wailing and gnashing of teeth in mass funerals, as people come together to lay to rest the person who has been with them for a long time. The funeral director for this family may actually have been a bit off by stating at the funeral that the family was “very close” to the person who died.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a funeral where there was no actual body. It’s a very strange thing on many levels, not only because it makes it hard for the family to find closure, but as a community, we may as well all be dead.
Troutman Funeral Home in Michigan is the name of a small funeral home run by some very odd people. The funeral home is located in a small, sleepy town with lots of people who are very far from a funeral home. They also happen to have a very creepy “ghost” that haunts the place. But what makes it creepier is how the body being held on the table is a dead body.
