I don’t know what it is about the construction industry that makes people think that remodeling jobs are glamorous, but my first reaction is that they aren’t. It almost seems like the jobs are too hard. I mean, I can imagine that a remodeling job is hard. A lot of it is hard, but the “harder” part is when you have to replace wood floors and ceilings, move walls, and replace windows.
That’s what I’m dealing with now as well. I’m remodeling my kitchen with my girlfriend. I was told I would be able to put a ceiling in my room, which is amazing because I just had a new ceiling put in. It took a few days to find the right ceiling. Its also a good thing that the ceiling is in a different room so that its easier to get to it. We’re replacing the trim with new molding, which is nice too.
I know it sounds like im doing a lot of work but im only doing it for 2 weeks. I just got my new floor and ceiling in and hope to get my rooms ready for the new owners. Its not that much work but I would like to put down some hardwood floors. And the walls are going to be redone. Both are really important to me.
Now some may say that redoing the walls is pointless if the ceilings have already been replaced, but that’s not the case with many of the remodeling jobs I have done, as I have to do a lot of trim work and redo a lot of things.

If you do remodeling, you can make your home look better than it really is by doing a few simple changes. First of all, you can use a combination of inexpensive “carpet paint” and inexpensive “carpet sealant.” Caulking is a very cheap low-cost way to help you seal the seams between your existing floor and walls.
A good example is the use of the floor-to-ceiling carpet sealant. You can paint your existing carpets, then apply a coating to cover the existing seams by sanding away the old carpet sealant. This is a cheap, quick, and easy way to make your new carpet look as good as new.
