We are here to support the grieving process, encourage healthy and creative grieving rituals, and create a community-centered space for bereavement and grief. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and healing environment that facilitates the transition of grief into acceptance.

Paquelet was founded in 2005 and quickly became one of our top choices to have a funeral at. The funeral director here is one of the best in the city, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The first time I went there, I had a beautiful, traditional funeral that was carried out in a beautiful church with great music. And then Paquelet took over and we’ve never been happier.
Although the funeral home has a very unique style, the services aren’t the only thing they do. The staff takes time to listen to and review your needs so that they can tailor a service that will be perfect for you. They also take the time to do a lot of research so they can find a funeral director that best fits your needs. I’m always delighted when a funeral home offers services that are more than just the actual cremation or the burial.

Here’s the thing, I can’t really tell you what to think when you see a funeral home. It’s too much like deciding what to wear to a concert, whether or not you should be using a tie to keep your tie on, and what kind of shoes to wear. Like anything else in life, it’s all a matter of perspective.

It is in this small town that they offer a variety of services that many funeral homes simply cannot offer, such as a personal care assistant who walks you through the funeral home’s services, and the ability to make arrangements for you to leave if you’re unable to attend the funeral. They are also able to provide transportation to and from the funeral home.
