We love our mobile home because it’s one of the few places in our home that isn’t an office or bedroom. It’s a place that we can take a big, big shower on a hot summer day and not worry that we are going to have to clean up after ourselves. Also, when it comes to the mobile home itself, there really is no way around the fact that it is a lot bigger than an average home.
It’s a common misconception that a lot of mobile homes are just for people on a budget, because they are really, really big. But a lot of the homes we work with are small, modular homes that are designed with a minimum of space in mind. This means that they are built for small space and maximum functionality. The smallest one we’ve worked with was around 24′ long and 8′ wide and had to be modified to allow for a shower.
If you’re building a home for yourself or a family, I’d recommend that you consider what kind of lifestyle you want to live in. It’s a lot easier to maintain a small house when you don’t have to keep the same space (so no more “trying to fit” in your new, larger home) and you can expand your living space when you need to.
Many people do not realize that we can actually build a mobile home that can be used for multiple purposes. For example, its a lot easier to renovate a mobile home with a home office, or a laundry room, or a garage, than it is an entire new home. I know that I was the one who helped him build a boat and was able to put it into the water. I got him to add a sail, rudder, and some other accessories.
