My goal is to get my clients to really appreciate what they have – not what they don’t. I also try to teach them to appreciate the value of what they have. The challenge of getting my business started really comes down to this. The people that I work with are what I call “not-so-experts.” They are very opinionated, judgmental, and judgmental. They are really not on the same level as the rest of my clients.
In order to really be able to get a return on my investment, I have to be willing to work with clients that are not so seasoned. I want my clients to not just think, “I have to pay my mortgage as soon as possible” so I really have to keep that in mind. I also have to be willing to change my mind on things that I thought were right.
My client’s house is an example of the latter. In the process of remodeling, the client has discovered that the master bathtub is leaking. This is an issue that has taken many months to fix. But he’s not willing to wait. He wants a new bathtub, not a temporary fix. He wants to start over again.
My clients are not really just a case of “I want it bad enough,” “I’m willing to do whatever it takes to get it,” “I have no idea what I’m doing,” but rather the opposite. They don’t want to wait for the new bathtub. They want to get started immediately.
The problem is that the client is not being honest. Instead of admitting his mistake they are working on a story about how the bathtub is leaking. Well, if you are not able to fix your own bathtub, you don’t know how to fix your own house.
That is a real problem and why I have clients who have no idea how to do anything. The reason why they are having a problem is because they are in the business of selling their time.
You would think that the same business would also have an understanding of how they are going to fix their own house. Apparently not. The client is not being honest. They are not being honest about their time-management problems. They are not being honest about the fact that they are going to need to redecorate the entire house in a day.
So, if I were selling my time, I would have the client come to me and tell me that they need to redecorate their house within a day. But instead, the client is trying to sell me on a plan to remodel the house with me as part of the package.
There are a lot of things in our lives we can do to ease the stress of time management and that don’t require actual money. You can do things like clean your house, read, etc. All that does is take your time away from something else. It’s not an actual waste of time. But don’t tell yourself that you can’t do something because you have to get paid or you can’t afford it.
You are not buying a house. You are buying an apartment. You may be able to pay for that apartment, but you can only pay for the apartment with the money you have available. So dont think that you are getting a bargain.
