The term “home free” is a great way to get a chuckle, but the truth is, it’s pretty often the case that we are home free.
The phrase home free is a bit of a misnomer. Home is a place where you can stay. It’s not the same as “having a home.
Home is where you have a home. You have a place that you can stay where the lights are on and the water is warm and you can sleep in. Its not where you have food, water, and shelter. Your home is where you have your furniture and your pictures and your TV and your shoes and your books and your cell phone. Its not where you have your bank account.
The problem with the phrase “home is a place where you can stay” is that it doesn’t tell you anything about the home. Sure, you could stay there and it’s going to be safe and secure, but it’s not going to be your home. It might be your place to play video games, but you aren’t going to be around to invite friends over and share your board games.
You are not going to be around to share your home. You are not going to be around to invite friends over and share your board games. At any rate, if you are not going to be around you will probably be in a home that does not have a kitchen.
And even if you were to live in a home with a kitchen, you wouldn’t have the opportunity to prepare meals. You would probably be eating out.
There is a certain amount of self-sufficiency that comes with being a house-free man. You do not need to cook or do the laundry. You do not need a home gym, or a pool. You can go out and play video games, but you are not going to be around to invite friends over and share your board games. You are not going to be around to share your home. You are not going to be around to invite friends over and share your board games.
You will be around to share your home. You are going to be around to share your board games. You are going to be around to share your home.
These words and images represent several home-free people, all of whom are home-free and all of whom have a home-free life. But they are not home-free people, which is why they appear in the trailer at the end of it all.
You can’t escape the pain of being home-free. You can only pretend to be. There’s a reason why this phrase seems to be so common in the trailer for a number of games: it means to be a home-free person who pretends to be someone else.
