This is the second obit on our site following our announcement of the death of our long-time friend, George Bartley. He was a true friend and we miss him so much. He was also the type of person who was always willing to help others.
The good news on the obit is that George was able to have his funeral at a home in his honor. You can read the entire obit here.
We don’t know how long George Bartley will be remembered, but we do know that he was a very special person. We will be trying to find a way to remember him in whatever way we can.
As you may imagine, George Bartley was a great friend of ours, and we are going to miss him dearly. A big thank you to him and his family and friends for all of their support and love.
The funeral home was in his honor, but because he was such a special person, we also will be working hard to find another place to have the funeral. If you have any ideas on places to have his funeral, please let us know in the comments.

Bartley’s funeral was held at a local church, but his ashes were scattered at sea. It’s not clear if that will happen any more or not.
In the meantime, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about a former employee of the family company taking over. This was a small, but very public, example of one of many things that happened to Bartley. It could be that the company is trying to clean up its image and get past what happened to Bartley, or it could be that whatever happened happened, and that it will be difficult to get past it.
In any case, the news of Bartley’s death has gotten passed on to his widow, who is now the head of the company. She is a retired surgeon and is now trying to work on the familys reputation. I think the family is worried that people will say, “Oh the family is so terrible, Bartley was so young and nice,” and that will damage their image.
There is a lot of bad blood around in the industry. For example, Bartley was the former Chairman of the Board of a company that made dental implants. The company went out of business because of this, and the family tried to get him fired from his job, or at least had him fired from his job. This is a shame because Bartley was a great guy. He had a great sense of humor, and he was always up for a good laugh.
