It’s hard to believe that a day has passed since Haller Funeral Home and their owner, Mary, passed away at the age of 88. Yet this is only the beginning of a long line of lives that haller funeral home has seen and will continue to see. These last few years have been a lot of hard work but with one goal in mind, to care for the families of the dead with the utmost respect.
Haller Funeral Home’s staff is one of our most important resources in the community. We have volunteers who help with many different tasks ranging from assisting the family in the weeks to years following the death, to helping with the burial process. We also have volunteers who help us with the funeral arrangements, in terms of selecting the most appropriate casket for the deceased, or even assisting with the burial itself.
We are a family owned and operated funeral home in the metro Detroit area. We currently employ about 10 people, including the funeral director, the funeral director’s assistant, and our own funeral director.

In the last 10 years, we have had our fair share of tragedy. We lost our oldest son to cancer in 2011, and our oldest daughter to breast cancer in 2013. On top of that, we lost one of our best friends last month when her husband passed away. All of the above was a pretty stressful time for us, and we did our best to keep it all under control.
A few years ago we had an incident involving gunshots and a suspicious looking building. Shortly after that we had an incident involving excessive use of alcohol and a suspicious looking building.
You can probably guess what happened next. But on the off-chance that you don’t, we’ll tell you again. We’ve been very busy since and are now closing everything down and doing our best to get ready for the move. Unfortunately, we’re not close to having the move completed. In order to continue to keep our home in the same location, all of the above events are currently being handled by a new management company.
Haller funeral homes is one of those things that is just a little bit weird. It is a funeral home that is used to cremation, which means that it is designed to house all of the remains of the deceased, no matter how or where they were found. This is done so that the family can look for a burial plot on their own, and there is no need to pay for the funeral of the deceased.
Funeral homes are a type of business that get a lot of bad press, and there is one thing that I have heard about this place that makes it a lot worse. The company that handles the funeral home’s funeral arrangements also handles everything on the home’s lawn. So if a family member is upset about one of their friend’s funeral, they can go to the company and demand that they be moved. In other words, the company is the “funeral home.
My own experience with funeral homes has not been that great. So to think that the funeral home is the company that handles all the funeral arrangements, rather than the actual funeral home, is the main reason that I am so opposed to the idea of a funeral home.
