The sweet home monster is a term I’ve heard used a lot on the internet, and I’m not talking about the animal. It’s the idea that there are two different forms of “sweet” in our life—good and bad. It’s the idea that we have good memories of a place or time in our life.
This is part of why I love playing games. The game design process is often about figuring out what makes a game and what makes a game tick. If you have that kind of understanding, then you can take design decisions and execute them with ease.
