I love this show. It’s funny, it’s entertaining, and it’s informative, which is always fun. I’m a fan of the show, but I do have a few complaints.
First of all, the hosts, who are real people, make it pretty obvious they don’t have a clue what they are talking about. The first episode featured a very obvious rip off of a “30 Rock” episode, in which a woman was talking on a cell phone while looking into the camera. The show makes it seem like there is a lot of people in the room who don’t know what is going on.
The second problem is that the show has, by far, the most annoying voice on the planet. The hosts, who are actually professional comedians (and I have no doubt they are), are trying to be funny but are sounding like they are from the 60’s and 70’s, and when you see someone with a deep, booming voice, it’s like you are supposed to take it as a sign that they are, in fact, a member of the 80’s and 90’s.
We get this a lot in our day-to-day life. We see funny people all the time who don’t know what is going on. This is a very easy one to fix. The show does this by using some of the same voices that the hosts use to make fun of the other guests. So instead of saying, “Hey, what’s up everybody? Hey, this is Adam from the other side of the room.
That was the first time I saw him in the flesh. He’s the guy in the front row who seems to be making fun of the other guys. It’s hard to get a feel for the guy, but I do know he has a deep, booming voice. I also know he has an accent. It is, however, very annoying when you want to yell at someone, so if you do, just remember that Adam is a pretty great guy.
Adam is the only one who seems to have taken the time to read his room, which is a bit of a shame. He spends most of the show trying to make fun of the other folks. He’s one of the more endearing characters, and I hope he sticks around long enough to see his room become a place all its own.
Adam is a big fan of the home show format, which is essentially a series of “paint-by-numbers” videos showing all the different rooms in your house. Adam says that he doesn’t enjoy the “self-congratulatory nature of the show”, but I think he means it in a good way.
The show is so much fun to watch. Adam is funny, the video is fun, and the format is addictive. It gives a good sense of what your house is like before your time on the market.
If you go to the show you might find yourself laughing so hard they call you an expert on paint by numbers. If you do, this is a good place to start. This video is a lot like a home remodel or addition or something similar. It’s fun to see how it turns out.
As if you needed any more incentive to check out the show, here’s the link to the show’s schedule. Not only is it in the time you would expect, but it also has a special appearance by Adam and the rest of the video crew.
