The American Cookbook contains over a hundred recipes, which have been adapted from the work of both the great chefs of the world and the legendary cookbook writers of old. The reason this recipe is so good is because I use a panini style bread.
This is a great recipe, but it’s a bit tricky. The key to this recipe is that you put the panini in the middle of the stove, so the oven heats in addition to cooking.
This recipe is one of those times when I wish I had a panini press. The advantage of a panini press is that you don’t have to worry about the bread being too fragile or the hot skillet not releasing enough of the panini.
