I was going to say “should you paint your kitchen before you sell” but it’s really “do you paint your kitchen before you sell”.
I don’t think it is a good idea to renovate your kitchen before you sell. First, I think you should paint the surface of your kitchen then wait a few months to sell the house. If you want to leave your kitchen in good shape, then paint it and wait a few months to sell.
I know I’m a little late with the above, what I’m more concerned about is the fact that the first thing people see when they walk by your house is your kitchen. It’s a beautiful place to rest and relax, but it’s also a potential time bomb waiting to go off. Before you know it, your kitchen is going to be so disgusting that you can’t cook or eat a normal meal.
Yes, this is a common way to improve a kitchen. People buy a house to have a beautiful kitchen and then paint it. The only problem is, with new kitchens, you dont need to paint because the new paint is all you really need to make the kitchen look great. You will have to deal with some serious dust and stains, but with a fresh coat of paint you can make the kitchen as good as new again.
I am not recommending any of these methods, but the bottom line is that if you go around with a paint brush, your paint will need to dry completely before you can eat your food.
I like to do a little bit of everything when I renovate a kitchen. I start with the floor. I want the floor to be as flat as possible. Then I work down all the walls, then the cabinets, then the appliances. Once I have everything down, I scrub it with the floor scrubber I use with all of my floors. Then I work up the baseboards. The first thing I do is the baseboard and all of the trim around it.
The next step is the trim. I want the trim to be smooth, so I use the trim paint stripper. It’s a brush-like product that I don’t use for the trim around the baseboards. Instead I use it to clean all of the trim around the cabinets and appliances.
Since you’re in this stage of renovation, there are some things you don’t want to remove, like your existing flooring, which is pretty durable. And there are a lot of things you don’t want to remove. It’s a good idea to make sure the existing flooring in the kitchen and family room are as smooth as possible. The same goes for any other hardwood, tile, or concrete floors.
You probably have some friends who would love to have a restaurant in their house, but are afraid of removing all of the heavy, valuable flooring. If they don’t want to sell the house, they should hire someone to do the work for them.
I dont think that renovating a kitchen before selling it has much to do with a person’s house selling value. As long as its a beautiful space and a high price, you should have no problem with any of those factors. If you have an existing kitchen that may not be too long, it is probably not worth it to renovate it at all.
