Paquelet funeral home is dedicated to creating a better place to be for families. We are a non-profit, community-centric, faith-based funeral home. We are here to support the grieving process, encourage healthy and creative grieving rituals, and create a community-centered space for bereavement and grief. Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and healing environment that facilitates the transition of grief into acceptance.
Paquelet funeral home is a perfect example of the “community-centered” thing that a lot of people have in mind when they think funeral homes. Funerals are supposed to be about community, and that’s what paquelet tries to create. This is a good thing, as it allows families to bond with their loved ones and feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves.
Funerals are an important part of the day-to-day life of a lot of families, and there’s no doubt that it is a big part of a lot of people’s lives. But that doesn’t mean that all funeral homes are created the same. This new company’s intention is to create a funeral home that is about people, not just a place where bodies are laid to rest.
Paquelet is a new company founded by Mark and Jodie Moore who have a combined thirty-five years in the funeral industry. Paquelet is an all-inclusive, family-friendly funeral home that offers the services of a mortuary, crematorium, and an in-house memorial service for all funerary types.

Paquelet was founded in 2005 and quickly became one of our top choices to have a funeral at. The funeral director here is one of the best in the city, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. The first time I went there, I had a beautiful, traditional funeral that was carried out in a beautiful church with great music. And then Paquelet took over and we’ve never been happier.
Although the funeral home has a very unique style, the services aren’t the only thing they do. The staff takes time to listen to and review your needs so that they can tailor a service that will be perfect for you. They also take the time to do a lot of research so they can find a funeral director that best fits your needs. I’m always delighted when a funeral home offers services that are more than just the actual cremation or the burial.
Paquelet is a funeral home for all kinds of families. From the very humble to the very grand: from the very traditional to that very new! From the very big to the very small: from the very modest to the very glamorous! They take the time to find you a funeral director who will have the energy and commitment necessary to take on all your needs.
Here’s the thing, I can’t really tell you what to think when you see a funeral home. It’s too much like deciding what to wear to a concert, whether or not you should be using a tie to keep your tie on, and what kind of shoes to wear. Like anything else in life, it’s all a matter of perspective.
Paquelet funeral home is a funeral home that takes the time to really research the needs of the dead. It is in this small town that they offer a variety of services that many funeral homes simply cannot offer, such as a personal care assistant who walks you through the funeral home’s services, and the ability to make arrangements for you to leave if you’re unable to attend the funeral. They are also able to provide transportation to and from the funeral home.
