You may have noticed that we have a funeral home in our area. It’s a beautiful, traditional, brick building that dates back to the late 1800s. All of the rooms are light and airy, and the staff is so friendly and helpful. They also make a beautiful and personal service for all of the family members.
ott funeral home has been around since 1969, though its location may not have been ideal in 1993. That year, the town of Otterbein, Illinois, passed a resolution to ban the building of funeral homes. As a result, many of the funeral homes were forced to close, resulting in the demise of many of our local funeral homes.
The town of Otterbein, Illinois, has a good history and is known for its beautiful architecture. With all the beautiful funeral homes, it seemed like this should be a no-brainer that everyone should visit. But no, they had to go through a process and get a license. That means they have to get a license to serve their customers, something that is often impossible to do.
Because of these licensing issues, there was a great deal of confusion and confusion about what to do when a funeral home closed. So we decided to take a step back and try to figure out what is going on. What we discovered is that if you go to a funeral home and ask for directions, you will most likely receive a “we are not open for funeral services at this time” response.
It turns out that funeral homes have been closing their doors in recent years, either because they are full (which often means they are only open for business on the weekends) or because they cannot afford the licenses to serve on those days. A funeral home that was not previously licensed but is not currently closed is now closed. It is not possible to open a funeral home that is not currently licensed, which is why some funeral homes have been offering services on weekends.
I don’t know which one is the best, but I would assume those are the ones closed for the most amount of time.
ott funeral home was in my personal experience one of the busiest funeral homes in the area, but they had some closures recently. This one, however, seems to have just been recently reopened. If anything, their previous owner had a strong presence over the years (and in my opinion still does), and I am sure that he or she would have been very saddened to see the funeral home being closed.
Yes, I know that you can’t really get a good view of the house from the outside (even if you are going to a funeral), but it’s still a fun-looking home. I was looking for a few days to see what the inside looked like and they all looked very nice.
You should consider this home on your list of places to visit if you are in the Seattle area. It is a beautiful, traditional neighborhood home that I’m told is a bit of a tourist trap, but it is close to a ton of places to eat, which is one of my favorites during summer time. It is also close to Pike Place Market, which is a super-cool place that I go to regularly.
The good news is that you can actually drive right by their location. I was in the area one day and was able to go straight to the funeral home by driving up to a large parking lot. If I wasn’t in that area, I would have never even known about this place.
