So, for the past 6 months, I have been attending a lot of funerals. Most funerals are held for people who died in accidents, but we also have some here in Albany, GA that are deaths by their own actions. These people can be tragic when we are not around, but in this case, I want to remember them.
So, mathews funeral home albany ga has been a place for a lot of people who have lost their lives. I have been there when the funeral home was in the process of closing its doors, the day I bought my home, and when the people who worked there were dying, and now they are starting to get back to their former selves.
Mathews was an old funeral parlor in Albany, GA, and it had been in that location for a few years before it closed. The funeral home’s owner was a local attorney, and he was a good man. He died suddenly last year just before he was to pack up his things and move on. The funeral home had been shut down by the state and had been turned into a memorial with a $10,000 contribution to a local charity.
Like many other funeral homes around the country, Mathews was also going through a difficult time. The owner died of a heart attack as he was trying to do something he was afraid he wouldn’t be able to do himself. Mathews had been losing money hand over fist and the owner was trying to take his business to another direction. It seemed like his life was ending the day that he was passing away.
It seems as if the people who gave Mathews money to send him to his funeral were in a rush to get it out of the way as quickly as possible. The funeral home had already set up a memorial (thanks to the donation) and Mathews was getting a small amount of cash from the local bank. Then, just a few days later, Mathews died. This was a difficult time for the funeral home and Mathews family. Many of mays funeral home staff had left.
The funeral home’s director, Bill, was a loving husband and father. He loved his family, his friends, and had a heart of gold. At a memorial service for Mathews, he had Mathews’ two dogs sit in front of him as if they were their own children. Bill told Mathews’ family that he had a beautiful, peaceful, and loving soul, and that he loved his family unconditionally.
The funeral home director Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He worked tirelessly to give the Mathews family the service they deserved. He was the most consistent person at Mathews Funeral Home, and is the type of person who would never have given up on his family. He was one of my favorite funeral home employees and I will miss him dearly.
