The great thing about being in the construction business is that you take on clients with different budgets, skill sets, and types of projects. You have to be able to handle whatever the client wants to work on, and be able to anticipate what their demands would be in a construction project. There are three levels of self-awareness.

One is to be very aware of every client and every phase of the project. It’s called “being on call”. Being on call means you have to be able to tell when you’re running late for a client’s job and when you should be arriving for their job. That doesn’t mean you can’t also be late or arrive late, but it does mean that you can be aware of it.

But the third level is being aware of what your client wants to work on and to be able to anticipate what their demands would be in a construction project. The first step to achieving such level of awareness is to be on call. While some people may think that they could manage to do that on their own, it doesn’t work that way. There are some clients out there who will just go to the extreme of being on call, and not allow you to be on call.

This is also a great way to be aware of the client’s level of awareness. If your client is aware of what they want to work on and are willing to do it, then that is a sign that they are aware of you.

Not everyone is as aware as you and me. Some people are more aware of their own habits, routines, and impulses than others. They are more aware of the things that they just don’t care about. You may be someone who is more aware of the things you care about, but you are also someone who is aware of the things that you don’t care about.

As I’ve mentioned, the majority of the time, we are on autopilot. We don’t give a shit about anything anymore. We are just trying to get through the day and get as much done as possible. I’m not saying we are not aware of our own habits, routines, and impulses, I’m saying we are aware of our own unconscious behaviors.

We have become so immersed in our day to day lives that we are unaware of the unconscious behaviors that we do. When our brains are not functioning properly, we may forget that we ourselves are unconscious. We are not aware of our own body’s subconscious thoughts, and we don’t pay attention to what our body is doing, which may lead us to make impulsive decisions that we regret in the future.

Im saying that we have become so immersed in our daily lives that we are unaware of the unconscious behaviors that we do. Thats why we should not only stop and say, “hey, why did I do that?” but we should also try to become aware of the unconscious behaviors that we might have been doing that are causing us to make impulsive decisions and actions.

For example: I do bad things at times that I regret in the future. I do this because I was under stress and I made a bad decision that caused me to make a bad decision.

You can’t control everything you do. You can only control what you do.
