Today for the first time ever, I decided to share my home with my friends. I’m so glad that I did! I’ve always been a workaholic and have a tendency to procrastinate, but I’ve never had a problem with the same day multiple times because I always look ahead to the next project while I’m in the middle of it. This time I made the decision not to procrastinate.
This time, I chose to make the decision to take my family with me. It was so hard to not tell my friends where I was going, but I wanted them to be able to stay and see where I was going. I also wanted them to be able to see my progress while im actually at work and not just at home. I like to have my own space, but Im not about to let my wife or kid make the decision for me.
It’s just a little ironic that I’m not the only one who keeps things quiet and private with coworkers. Every time I’ve been asked why I’m doing this I always say, “I’m not telling you because you’re going to laugh in my face. I’m doing it because I want to do my job well and make a good living. I don’t want my family to be hurt.
We have a pretty similar attitude about work. We don’t want to see our colleagues’ dirty laundry, or be embarrassed to tell our coworkers about work problems.
My job also involves a lot of secrets. This is especially true when it comes to work-related information. I love my job, but not because I dont want to tell people about my day. I dont want to make other people uncomfortable. I want to keep my job, keep my coworkers happy, and show them that I respect their needs and are willing to listen. I love my coworkers and I want to make sure that they dont think I dont trust them.
That’s all well and good, but what about when your coworkers are really important to you? That’s when I’m really disappointed that I dont have enough respect for them. I want to make sure that they know that I will always be there for them. I want them to know that if they ever need anything from me they will get it from me.
You have to keep your coworkers happy. You have to show them that you are willing to listen and respect them. You have to do this without being rude. If you do this you might find yourself with more respect from your co-workers. And you might find your coworkers making you more important to your life.
