This post is not going to be on the subject of cabinets or remodeling, but rather my focus on how to create a functional kitchen and bathroom that you will be proud to show off.

To get to my point, there is a certain level of “cabinet quality” that we can expect from almost all kitchens and bathrooms. Unfortunately, most of us are not going to go the full DIY route in order to get good cabinets. Instead, we should find something that works for us and stick with it, maybe even doing some refinishing if need be.

With my kitchen, I have decided to go with a reclaimed plywood cabinet. I’ve never been a fan of the cheap plastic cabinet doors, so this is a good way to keep my style consistent. Additionally, the cabinets are made from reclaimed wood, so they look nice and rustic.

I’m in love with the reclaimed wood cabinets. They are quite inexpensive, take up very little counter space, and make a nice contrast with the wood in my cabinets. They also look great in my kitchen (which I do not yet have finished).

Now as far as the bathroom, i like the reclaimed wood cabinets, but i’m not a fan of the plastic countertops. I think they are just about the worst. They have a nasty plastic smell, and they are hard to clean. So i’m very happy to have reclaimed wood kitchen cabinets. I like the combination of the reclaimed wood and the plastic countertops in my kitchen.

I think the plastic is really ugly. But the plastic countertops are a nice idea. Plastic is cheap, cheap, cheap. And it looks cute. And in my opinion you can’t get cleaner than it already is. But plastic is cheap, and it looks cute.
