I got a call the other week from a woman wanting to remodel her basement. She’s a professional designer who specializes in home projects, so she had a pretty good idea of what she wanted to do with the space. She wanted to redo the kitchen and was looking for professional help with the rest of the project. I offered to help. It was a no-brainer to me.

I’m not sure what we do, but I do know that we do the basics and then we go more deeply into detail. So I offered to help her with the kitchen. I didn’t really know much about what she wanted or what she planned to do with it. I just saw her as a client and I figured I could probably help her out. I was probably wrong, but I was also right.

I dont’ think I ever had a chance at the kitchen. The space was already big enough for a small kitchen and a bathroom. However, the kitchen was a mess. She wanted professional expertise to help her out. That’s when I realized what we could do. I have a degree in graphic design and I have been building my own furniture for the past five years. I knew that I could help out around here.
