It was in a great location, close to schools and shopping, and a very quiet neighborhood. But when she moved in, she had no idea how to get around and needed to replace the bathroom with a new one.

The company that the contractor works for is an “adapter” of the company that she used to work for, so they had the right to require a guarantee. She did that, and was able to take advantage of the discount. The contractor did her work, and she didn’t have to pay him for it. She could do the rest of it herself.
But can you imagine spending a few thousand dollars to make your bathroom look great, but not having to hire a contractor, get a loan, and pay the contractor for the job? Well the answer is no, obviously not, because it would be illegal. But like I said, it is a possibility.
Some of the most expensive renovations a person can do to their home are bathroom remodels. Although your bathroom might look great, you will not get the results you want if you do not get the contractors and the loan to do the work. So what’s an experienced contractor to do? The answer is you have to go to the police, who could charge you with professional negligence.
In my opinion, the answer is not “NO!” But it is not legal, which means you could be on the hook for the extra fees. Some contractors will charge you a fee for this and some wont.
I’ve had my own bathroom remodeling experience. I did it without the help of a contractor. I did it myself and when I was in the bathroom I was having a lot of issues with a leaky faucet. After I was done I called the inspector who came out and he told me to fix it and he’d fix it for free.
Sure that sounds good but then you can never know if he really did fix it and he didnt report it to the inspector. The inspector is not going to fix a leaky faucet for free because he wont be able to convince the customer that he did fix it.
But it’s not just that. As I mentioned before, the inspector is not just going to fix a leaky faucet for free. He will report you if you are unable to fix the problem yourself, but he will also not fix it for free. It’s possible that he will charge you for fixing a leaky faucet, but the inspector doesn’t have to. He can just report you for not fixing the problem for free.
